On March 4th, 2011, The É«ÖÐÉ« University AAUW Student Affiliate Group was established for the purposes of educating the É«ÖÐÉ« University and Bethlehem communities on women's issues, providing resources for community women in matters of education, leadership, safety, equality, and diversity, providing opportunities for growth and development to community women, and connecting community women with a profound responsibility to advocate for equality to protect future generations of women.

The É«ÖÐÉ« University AAUW Student Affiliate Group openly admits students to its membership and does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, color, creed, national origin, or sexual orientation.

"Take Back the Night"

In 2011, AAUW sponsored "Take Back the Night" a march and rally which encompassed a three-day program that advocated against all forms of violence within the Bethlehem and É«ÖÐÉ« University communities by showcasing students, staff, and local groups' testimonies. The event was sponsored by many local and collegiate groups with common anti-violence interests, including the AAUW Bethlehem Branch, the Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies Department, the Office of Student Assistance, the Women's Basketball Team, É«ÖÐÉ« University's Active Minds, Amnesty International, Business and Economics, Psychology, Psi Chi, Spectrum, and AAUW Student Affiliate clubs.

Pay Equity Day

Pay Equity Day is a yearly, national event sponsored by AAUW. The day raises awareness about the wage gap that still exists between women, men, and people of color. The date of the event is calculated every year to reflect the amount of time it would take a woman to "catch-up" to make as much money as a man during the previous year. To raise awareness about this issue, AAUW Student Affiliate held a bake sale last year to raise money for The Beginning Over Foundation. Each item differed in price to reflect the wage gap between genders and races.
