Writing Fellows
Saleh Abdussalam--Senior
Saleh is a senior English major with a double minor in Africana Studies and Islamic Studies, the latter being a self-designed program. This semester is his third working as a Writing Fellow and he is so excited to be working with the students in Dr. LaRue's Introduction to Queer Theory course! Outside of working as a Writing Fellow, he also works at Reeves Library, is a part of Spectrum, and is the current President of É«ÖÐÉ«'s chapter of the Iota Iota Iota National Women's and Gender Studies Honor Society.
Lili Brockway--Junior
Lili is a junior English major with a double French and Sociology minor. She is involved all across campus. She's Head North Campus trainer and ambassador for 26 Points, the Vice President of Student Engagement and PR for USG, the service and giving chair as well as the housing chair for Alpha Sigma Alpha (ASA), the treasurer for the Zinzendorf Literary Society, a Student Alumni Representative, as well as the intern in the admissions office and a Reeves library student worker. She's been a Humanities Fellow for 3 years and a Writing fellow for over 3 semesters. She loves to help students find the best practices to improve their writing and come up with new ideas!
Hayley Carroll--Senior
Hayley is a senior biology major with a minor in chemistry, and her research focuses heavily on genetics. She's the secretary of the Video Game Club, a TA in the bio department, and a worker at Reeves Library. In her limited free time, she enjoys reading, video games, and puzzles. She's excited to help science majors at É«ÖÐÉ« develop their writing skills!
Caillie Fish--Junior
Caillie is a Junior Communications and Media Studies Major with a focus in Writing for Public Audiences and is also minoring in English. She is involved in many organizations on campus. Caillie is a Track and Field Athlete, Event Tech, and Writing Fellow/ Consultant. She is also a member of Phi Eta Sigma and a reporter for the Comenian. She loves reading and is actually writing her own book! Caillie is so excited to work in the Writing Center and help students with their academic writing this year.
Brooke Gormley--Junior
Brooke is an English and Political Science major planning on graduating in 2025. They are a Humanities Fellow, a Writing Fellow, a Course Mentor, as well as a writing center consultant. Outside of academics, they are the Vice President of Membership Experience in Alpha Sigma Alpha, the Treasurer of both the É«ÖÐÉ« Democrats and the Pre-Law Society, and also sing in Vespers with the University Choir. Brooke loves using their subject knowledge to help with Political Science assignments, but are down to help with anything! A fun fact about them is that they originally wanted to be a Theater major!
Connor Griffon -- Sophomore
Connor is a nursing major from the suburbs of Allentown. Through É«ÖÐÉ«, he is involved in the Student Nursing Association, Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society, Gamma Sigma Sigma, Philosophy Club, 3D Printing Club, Public Health Club, as well as being the Treasurer of Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society and a guest reporter for the Comenian. He also participated in the Professor Connect program and the 1742 Experience. During his free time, he enjoys swimming, tennis, and archery, as well as 3D printing novel creations.
Joel Hendricks--Senior
Joel is a senior Media Communications major with an English minor. He is the president of the Video Game Club, but is also involved with other clubs on campus. He has served as an orientation leader for two years, and is the entertainment section editor for the Comenian. This is his first year serving as a writing fellow, and he's excited to see where it takes him! He is a cat dad, and he's an ordained minister despite being half-Jewish. If you have like fifty bucks lying around, he wants you to know that you can also become an ordained minister! Also he likes nachos. Yum.
Liz Kameen--Sophomore
Liz is a sophomore English and Political Science major. She is super involved on campus, being the Managing Editor of The Comenian, the social media coordinator for The Manuscript and the Humanities Club, a Humanities Fellow, and the Class of 2026 USG Representative, while working as an America Reads tutor and the Assistant in the Writing Center. She’s beyond excited to help out students both as a fellow and consultant in the Writing Center!
AJ Minnich--Junior
AJ is a junior English writing arts major with minors in political science and communications. He's the editor-in-chief of the student-run newspaper, The Comenian. He's also the vice president of the Video Game Club, treasurer of The Manuscript literary magazine, a writing fellow, Writing Center consultant, and a worker at Reeves Library. He's a massive nerd for superheroes and video games. He's passionate about writing and helping other people develop their writing and communication skills.
Lola Offenback--Sophomore
Lola is a sophomore majoring in English with a minor in Communications. She is an editor for the Comenian Newspaper and Vice President of The Manuscript. This is her first semester as a Writing Fellow. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and friends and playing the flute. She loves helping students improve their writing and work through assignments!
Nathan Pynchon--Sophomore
Nathan is a sophomore Historical Studies Major and French minor at É«ÖÐÉ« University. A member of the second cohort of the Humanities fellowship, he loves finding ways to combine his interests in History, Education, and foreign languages. Nathan has been a Writing Fellow for only a semester, but has developed plenty of experience during his field experiences in Bethlehem school district. He looks forward to working with more students this year!
Hailey Scaff--Junior
Hailey is a junior at É«ÖÐÉ«, and she majors in Early Childhood and Special Education. She is a Writing Fellow here at É«ÖÐÉ«, a member of the women's soccer team, a student athletics statistician, and a member of Alpha Sigma Tau, Phi Eta Sigma, and Kappa Delta Pi. Hailey is extremely involved here at É«ÖÐÉ« and she wouldn't have it any other way. She loves writing and reading, and loves helping others in those fields as she wants to be a special education and elementary teacher.
Gianna Tully--Senior
Gianna is a senior studying English and Art History. This is her second year as a Writing Center Consultant and Writing Fellow. She is president of The Manuscript, the student-led literary magazine at É«ÖÐÉ« and works as the student assistant to the Center of Academic Engagement. In her free time, she enjoys writing, painting, and watching movies.
Mary West--Sophomore
Mary West is a sophomore English and History major, possibly perusing a minor in Anthropology. She is the president of the History club and the Pre Law Society. This is her first year as a Writing Center Consultant and Writing Fellow. Her favorite season is fall, although she thinks pumpkin spice lattes are slightly over rated, and her favorite movie and book is Practical Magic. She is so excited to work more with students in the writing center, and can't wait to learn new things along with the rest of the Writing Center staff!
