Winter Break Resources

For mental health resources over winter break, consider exploring the Self-Help Resources and/or Emergency & Crisis Resources.

The CAPS office will be closed December 23rd-January 1st. The office will reopen January 2nd. 

Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS)

To more accurately represent our services, the É«ÖÐÉ« University Counseling Center has been renamed É«ÖÐÉ« University Counseling & Psychological Services, or CAPS. 

CAPS policies and practices comply with the Pennsylvania Mental Health Procedures Act (MHPA). CAPS therapists adhere to state licensure laws and professional practice standards as defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Professional Counselors and the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology. 

Where mental health & wellness matters

CAPS aims to enhance the mental wellness of the É«ÖÐÉ« community by providing professional and ethical psychotherapy, case management services, and mental health outreach and education.

CAPS offers confidential therapy services to help É«ÖÐÉ« students manage personal, social, and academic challenges at no additional cost. College is a time of dramatic intellectual and psychological growth, which can be equally enriching and challenging. CAPS therapist services assists students in managing stress and anxiety, learning new ways to handle difficult situations, improving moods, mending relationships, and living better lives. Case management services provide goal-oriented and strengths-based assessment, intervention, and coordination for students experiencing physical, emotional, academic, and/or psychological difficulties. Additionally, CAPS delivers mental health and wellness outreach programming, consultation, crisis intervention, and collaborative services to the greater É«ÖÐÉ« campus.
