We are now accepting nominations for the 2025 Shining Lights awards! Do you know an alum who has made exceptional contributions to É«ÖÐÉ«, their communities, and/or their respective professions? Nominate them for the 2025 awards! The deadline for submissions is Sunday, August 31.

Alumni Awards
David A. Zinczenko ’91 - Comenius Alumni Award
The Comenius Award recognizes an alum’s outstanding achievement or service in their field of work. This is the Alumni Association's lifetime achievement award.
- Medallion of Merit Award
The Medallion of Merit recognizes an alum for their outstanding service to É«ÖÐÉ« University or the Alumni Association.
- Haupert Humanitarian Award
The Haupert Humanitarian Award recognizes an alum who has rendered outstanding service in the cause of human welfare. The recipient’s service to humanity has achieved standards "above and beyond" the expected duties and responsibilities of their career. In addition, the recipient has made a positive difference in the lives of others, in the community in which they live, or in the community at large.
- Benigna Education Award
The Benigna Education Award recognizes an alum for their outstanding contributions to the field of education. Administrators, college professors, elementary and secondary teachers, and all those in the teaching profession are eligible. The recipient has made significant innovations in the teaching profession, or otherwise substantially impacted the education process, and has demonstrated dedication to the community at large.
- Young Alumni Achievement Award
The Young Alumni Achievement Award recognizes a young alum (graduated within the past two to ten years) who has achieved exceptional success in their profession.

The Shining Star Community Partnership Award recognizes a business, organization, or individual (excluding current students, employees, and alumni) that/who supports É«ÖÐÉ« University's mission to prepare individuals for a reflective life, fulfilling career, and transformative leadership in a world of change. Strategic partnerships may include collaboration for shared resources, opportunities for innovation, and philanthropic engagement.
