National Endowment for the Humanities
鈥淭he term 鈥榟umanities鈥 includes, but is not limited to, the study and interpretation of the following: language, both modern and classical; linguistics; literature; history; jurisprudence; philosophy; archaeology; comparative religion; ethics; the history, criticism and theory of the arts; those aspects of social sciences which have humanistic content and employ humanistic methods; and the study and application of the humanities to the human environment with particular attention to reflecting our diverse heritage, traditions, and history and to the relevance of the humanities to the current conditions of national life.鈥

National Science Foundation
A new version of the Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide (PAPPG) has been issued and will be effective for proposals submitted or due, and awards made, on or after June 1, 2020.
- An important change in this version is the required use of an NSF-approved format for the submission of the biographical sketch and current and pending support documents. NSF is partnering with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to use as an NSF-approved format for the preparation of both documents.

National Institutes of Health
The NIH provides leadership and direction to programs designed to improve the health of the nation by conducting and supporting research in the causes, diagnosis, prevention, and cure of human diseases; in the processes of human growth and development; in the biological effects of environmental contaminants; in the understanding of mental, addictive and physical disorders; and in directing programs for the collection, dissemination, and exchange of information in medicine and health, including the development and support of medical libraries and the training of medical librarians and other health information specialists.
