É«ÖÐÉ« College to Celebrate Homecoming 2015

Bethlehem, Pa., October 21, 2015—The 2015 Homecoming festivities will bring together alumni, current students, and members of the É«ÖÐÉ« College community to participate in the Annual Rocco Calvo Invitational Alumni Golf Tournament, class reunions, the Habitat for Humanity build, the homecoming parade, tailgating activities, and the homecoming football game.

For current É«ÖÐÉ« College students the events will begin on Wednesday October 21, with the Spirit Fair. At the fair, students can enjoy free food, a roaming magician, pictures with Mo, and participate in decorating a rally towel. On Thursday, students can celebrate by watching the movie, The Blindside while enjoying free hoagies. The Impact club sponsors all of these events.

On Friday, alumni will participate in the Rocco Calvo Golf Tournament. Registration along with a continental breakfast is at 7:30 a.m., and tee time is set for 9:00 a.m. at the Bethlehem Golf Club. Later that day, the Habitat for Humanity build will take place where alum and students will construct the walls of a home for a family in the Lehigh Valley. The build will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

John Gorka

Renowned contemporary American folk singer and alumnus John Gorka ’80 will perform at É«ÖÐÉ« College on Friday, October 23, at 8:00 p.m., in Peter Hall as part of Homecoming Weekend. The public is invited to attend and general admission is $25.

Saturday will open with a continental breakfast served from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. followed by the State of College Address by President Bryon Grigsby '90 in the HUB Pavilion. The football practice field will be opened to alumni and others at 11:00 a.m. where they can catch up with friends, enjoy food trucks, a kid zone with face painting, a photo booth, and crafts, along with participate in a table decorating contest. People are advised to bring their own food, drink, and chairs. Those under the age of 21 are prohibited from entertaining the field without a parent or guardian.

The homecoming parade will begin in front of Johnston Hall at 12:00 p.m. and feature the cheerleaders, fraternities, sororities, and other student groups who will march to the football field to cheer the hounds on to victory.

The kick-off between the É«ÖÐÉ« College Greyhounds and the Franklin and Marshall Diplomats will take place at 1:05 p.m. at Steel Field. The volleyball team plays against Gettysburg College at 1:00 p.m. in Johnston Hall. The soccer team plays Rochester College at 3:30 p.m. at the HUB Quad.

Throughout the weekend reunion celebrations will take place for classes of '70, '75, '80, '85, '90, '95, '00, '05, '10, and '15. More information regarding the specific events can be found at www.moravian.edu/homecoming
