Bethlehem, PA, December 3, 2019: Today, ɫɫ College announced they will host the 14th ɫɫ College Undergraduate Conference in Medieval and Early Modern Studies on Saturday, December 7 at the in Bethlehem, PA.
The 2019 edition of the conference will feature a full day of programming, including a plenary session hosted by Professor Elly Truitt of Bryn Mawr College titled “Demons and Divination: Artificial Intelligence before A.I.” and a world-class concert by Alba at Trinity Episcopal Church in downtown Bethlehem at 5:00 p.m.
“This year’s conference -- the 14th -- promises to be terrific,” said Sandy Bardsley, professor of history at ɫɫ College and co-director of the conference, along with John Black, associate professor of English at ɫɫ College. “We have 70 student presenters, coming from as far away as Montreal, plus exhibitors demonstrating weaving, indigo dyeing, and calligraphy. We hope folks will drop by to hear an interesting paper, buy medieval-themed t-shirts and other products, observe a medieval- or early modern-themed board game, or admire posters on Notre Dame Cathedral of Paris.”
Those interested in attending the 14th ɫɫ College Undergraduate Conference in Medieval and Early Modern Studies are asked to before Thursday, December 5 and stop by the onsite registration desk on the day of the event to pick up their conference program and name badge. The conference registration desk will open at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday. Event organizers recommend that attendees arrive no later than 9:45 a.m. to ensure they can pick up the materials before the opening remarks begin.
