Live tweets from Accepted Students Day will play on billboards across the Lehigh Valley

Accepted Hounds

Bethlehem, Pa., March 20, 2015—Taking an innovative approach to leveraging its social media, É«ÖÐÉ« will re-tweet live posts from the students attending the College's Accepted Students Day event onto digital billboards across the Lehigh Valley. The College is expecting a record group of prospective students and their family members to visit campus on Saturday, March 21, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

While at the event, students will be encouraged to post comments and photos on Twitter with the hashtag #acceptedhounds. Selected tweets will then be displayed throughout the day on six major Adams billboards located on Route 22, Interstate 78, and Route 378.

"Live tweeting onto the digital billboards is a fun way to show off who our students are," said Karen Horn, director of internet marketing at É«ÖÐÉ« College. "We hope their personalities shine through in the pictures, while broadcasting the excitement that will undoubtedly be abuzz on our largest Accepted Students Day. Being accepted into college is a very special time in their lives, and we want to make their first decision for their future special. Publicly live tweeting this event is our way of doing that."

Three of the billboards will be located on Route 22. One can be found on the westbound side between Airport Road and the Lehigh River, anotheron the eastbound side just after the Fullerton Avenue near the ramp, and third on the westbound side near the 13th Street exit in Easton. The two boards on Route 78 include one facing west approaching the 412 exit, and the other on westbound side just after the 412 exit. The closest one to campus is on Route 378 by the Hill-to-Hill Bridge on the southbound side.

This Accepted Students Day is the second of three held during the spring semester. Those who were unable to attend the first two will have another opportunity to attend on April 25. Prospective students will find engaging academic instruction linked to the needs of the workplace, a beautiful campus in the heart of Pennsylvania's Lehigh Valley and a welcoming friendly community.

The program begins with registration and continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m., followed by "Discover É«ÖÐÉ« College" in which students learn more about the value of a É«ÖÐÉ« College education. Students will be invited to participate in class and student life activities. Later there will be lunch and FunFeast (Carnival games, a photo booth, caricatures, t-shirt making, and design your own cupcake stations). After lunch, students and their families can take campus tours. Financial aid consultations are available throughout the day.
