Goal is 70 Supporters
The É«ÖÐÉ« University Men's Golf team had one win and six top-5 finishes this fall. É«ÖÐÉ« won the Makuvek Cup at Lehigh Country Club for the 9th consecutive year and finished tied for fourth at the Landmark Conference Fall Preview this past month. Seniors Jason Koch and TJ Bohl led the team this fall. Jason was the Landmark Fall Preview medalist! He also had two top-5 and two top-20 finishes. In his two starts, TJ had a 1st place finish at the Elizabethtown Invitational and a 2nd place finish in a playoff at the Makuvek Cup. Four freshmen joined the team this year, which has contributed to its success. Timm Leidecker ’28 from Germany had two top-10 finishes this fall and the lowest individual score with a 69. Austin Fulton ’28 had one top-10 and two top-20 finishes. Stevie Grosscup ’28 had one top-10 finish.
É«ÖÐÉ« Women’s Golf is in its second year! Sophomore Heidi Wegscheider led the team this fall. Heidi had one 1st place finish at Muhlenberg, five top-10 finishes, and a personal best of 76 at the Cardinal Classic. Heidi finished tied for 8th at the Landmark Conference Fall Preview this past month. In addition, sophomore Ella Oswald had one top-10 and one top-20 finish, and junior Izzy Szmodis had one top-10 finish. These golfers demonstrate strong potential and the willingness to work hard to meet their goals. We will continue to recruit quality golfers who are passionate about golf, show initiative, and are excited about being a part of something new on the collegiate level.
Your contributions to the É«ÖÐÉ« Golf program will help continue our strong tradition by equipping our players with practice facilities and the indoor Trackman. Each year, we provide our student-athletes with uniforms, golf bags, golf balls, gloves, and more. Your donations will assist with the additional cost of travel and lodging for four 2-day events as well as the Pfeiffer Invitational in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina during spring break.
