2015 EMERGING LEADER AWARD
Jessica Preston Grillo ’08
The Emerging Leader Award is presented to an alumna or alumnus who graduated within the last ten years, for his or her leadership and dedicated service to É«ÖÐÉ« College. The É«ÖÐÉ« College Alumni Association gratefully acknowledges Jessica Grillo ’08 as its 2015 Emerging Leader Award recipient for her outstanding service and dedicated leadership to É«ÖÐÉ« College.
Even after four years as a dedicated leader throughout É«ÖÐɫ’s campus, Jessica Grillo ’08 has continued her commitment and passion to serving the College while also leading a prolific career in the workplace. Since 2011, Grillo has served the campus community as a member of the Alumni Board, as both its Secretary and Communications Chair and is currently President-Elect. Through the board, Grillo has played an active leadership role in significant alumni activities and events.
Prior to joining the Alumni Board, Grillo was an alumni advisor and alumni group president for Sigma Sigma Sigma, a sorority she also took a leading role in as a student. Additionally, Grillo has helped establish the Central New Jersey Alumni Group and has facilitated multiple Hound Hours in the central Jersey region.
As a student at É«ÖÐÉ«, Grillo not only served as Sigma Sigma Sigma’s representative to the Panhellenic Council, she was also a cheerleader and Haupert Union Building Manager. Grillo also organized É«ÖÐɫ’s first campus-wide, all Greek philanthropic effort. Upon graduation, after working as a designer and sales associate for an interiors group, Grillo created and launched a Human Resources Department for a start-up company where she served as HR Manager. Grillo currently resides in Trenton, New Jersey with her husband Michael Grillo ’04 and their son, Archer.
Grillo and her husband continue to coordinate many formal and informal gatherings of É«ÖÐÉ« alumni. Jessica is a Recruiter for Decision Resources Group; she leads the firm’s efforts in recruiting and employment.
