2020

Ruth Rander DeRosa passed away on October 13, 2020.

CDR. Peter Dirga, USN was elected as the post commander of Pugh-Lenderman-Chalfonte, Post 2907 of VFW in Bellefonte, DE for the 2020-2021 year. He will also continue as the finance officer of Richard C. DuPont, Post 18, Sons of the American Legion. He is still working/volunteering at the Wilmington & Western Railroad. It is an operating museum and the only scenic tourist RR in the state. The Wilmington and Western has operated since 1872 and provides passenger and freight service out of Wilmington to Landenberg, PA. For the last 50 years, it has been a tourist RR. It is open for business today with the appropriate precautions.

Jerry Clymer passed away June 4, 2020.

Kimberly Jamison volunteers her time throughout the Lehigh Valley. She have been the president of the board of the Arts Academy Charter Middle School in Salisbury Township for 8 years. She has worked as a facilitator at the Institute for Jewish Christian Understanding for 6 years, and she has helped out at the Boutique at the Rink in Bethlehem which provides support in the fight against cancer.

Arthur Sheninger and Jean Lewis Sheninger '71 were married 50 years on December 20. They celebrated with their family this past summer on vacation to the Outer Banks. In January, Jean and Art had a party in Florida at their winter residence with many friends including fellow grad Eric Ruskoski. Eric has a winter residence in Florida.

Paul Martinelli met up with Greg Seifert and George Luzzi. Both are doing fine. Paul spoke with Bob Young about the passing of his wife. Paul met up with Hank Fieger (Third Floor Wilhelm) in, of all places, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico while on vacation. Hank lives in a small fishing village north of Puerto Vallarta. They spent the day reminiscing. Until their recent get together, Hank and Paul had not seen each other since graduation.

Skip Kauffmann's wife, Jean-Marie Nelson Kauffman, is not able to talk or remember much of anything. She has been hospitalized since January 2015 at Charles Cole UPMU in Coudersport, PA. Jean has both dementia and Alzheimer's. They have been married since November 1970. They moved to Potter County when both of their companies went bankrupt in 2004. Jean worked at Agere and Skip worked at J.T. Baker Chemical. In addition, they both lost their 401K's that were tied to the stock of their companies. Skip wishes everyone a blessed and happy life.

Michael Siegel and Gail have been back in Savannah for almost ten years. They love it, and they say it is truly "home". Michael volunteers for a number of organizations in his community. He just began his third year as chair of the Savannah Chapter of SCORE. Michael also serves on the board of his congregation, is co-chair of the local Crohn's and Colitis Foundation chapter, is co-leader of the local photography club, and works with school groups at UGA's nearby Marine Sciences Center and Aquarium. He says it is all about giving back, making a contribution, and thanking all the people who helped and mentored him in his life.

2019

Carole Thomas Petley offers her help at a local glass shop a few days a week creating lamps, sun catchers, mosaics, and even a few stained windows for the church. Carole also has several shelties that perform in agility trials while her youngest dog works at nursing homes, libraries, and hospitals as a therapy dog.

Michael Siegel and Gail have been in Savannah for almost ten years. They say that it has truly become their home. Michael volunteers for a number of organizations and has recently become the third chair of the Savannah Chapter of SCORE.

Paul Martinelli had a great time at the reunion. He loved reuniting with his brothers from OGO and Wilhelm 3rd floor.

Judy Gashler was surprised to see many of her classmates and enjoyed reconnecting with everyone including Robert Burcaw, Ph.D. '51, who was one of Judy's English professors.

Tim Tedesco and Janet Evans Tedesco '72 enjoyed seeing so many classmates at the Alumni House Friday night and visiting downtown Bethlehem.

Mary Figlear passed away on November 23, 2019.

Gregory Fota celebrated his grandson's first birthday on October 23, 2019. John "Thrasher" Baldry is the son of Gregory's daughter Catherine.

Jane Pritchard Moore retires this spring after working as a caseworker for the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services for 14 years.
